Volunteers are required to help with the smooth running of the 2017
European Outdoor Championships.
We have a number of roles where volunteers are required. You can
volunteer for the duration of the event, or for particular days.
Assistance is required in the following areas:
MARSHALLS - at the weigh in on Wednesday 20 September - on each day of competition to organise teams in each corner - Thurs 21 - Sun 24 September
GROUND CREW - mark out and tape ropes (under the supervision of TWIF Officials) - take out ropes and collect in ropes before and after each weight class - rake over the ground once each weight class has completed - daily collection of litter / emptying bins - refuelling generators - assisting with any set up / set down at the competition area
Creative photographers to provide digital photos of the competition
on each day to be published online / on social media. Ideally, such
photographers should have an SLR type camera
REFRESHMENTS AND MERCHANDISE - bar staff - merchandise sales staff
OFFICE / ADMINISTRATION
- reception at the start of the event to distribute accreditation, team
paperwork, and put together and distribute welcome packs - printing and copying
COMMENTATOR / ANNOUNCER
to provide commentary on the competition
during each day of competition and DJ to play music on each day of
competition and national anthems during the prize giving ceremonies for
the closed competition.

assist with and which days you will be able to provide assistance. Any
assistance will be appreciated, even if it is only for 1 day or just a
few hours. Of course, anything more than 1 day will be even better! Many
