Come along, wave your flags, and support your teams at the 2017 European Outdoor Tug of War Championships and World Junior and Under 23 Championships!

Supporters and spectators are welcome to attend the 2017 European Outdoor Championships, which are taking place at Carr Lane Playing Fields in the Birkdale area of Southport

Entry to the pulling ground for spectators and team supporters will be free!!

Please note that parking at the venue will be restricted.

Public Transport (bus) between Southport Town Centre/Southport Railway Station and Carr Lane for members of the public is available as follows:

Service 43 - Operated by Arriva - runs buses to Carr Lane on Mondays to Saturdays every 30 minutes

Service 46 - Operated by Arriva - runs buses to Carr Lane on Mondays to Sundays every 30 minutes

Service 49 - Operated by Arriva - runs buses to Carr Lane on Mondays to Saturdays every 15 minutes and every 30 minutes on Sundays

Bus journeys from Southport Town Centre to Carr Lane take approximately 15 minutes. Please note that the above bus routes are not included as part of any of the official accommodation packages and are used at your own expense.

All spectators are encouraged to use public transport as far as possible.

If you require any special assistance at the ground, or require disabled parking, then please contact us in advance of the event so that we can assist you with any special requests.

Competitors and spectators staying in the official accommodation packages offered by the Tug of War Association at Pontin's will be able to use a dedicated shuttle bus service that is being provided for the event for free.

These buses will run between Pontin's and Carr Lane every 30 minutes throughout the day. Accreditation must be shown to use the shuttle bus service.
